Třinecké železárny won the National Prize of the Czech Republic for social responsability
19. 03. 2012Třinecké železárny (Třinec ironworks) won the first National Prize of the Czech Republic for social responsability of organizations, awarded historically for the first time. It is granted to representatives of entreprenerial sector who underline not only an economic aspect of business but above all environmental and social point of views of these activities. The award and prize were taken over by Jiří Cienciala, general director of the company during a ceremony in the Prague Castle held on 10 November.
This year, the prize has been granted for the first time to firms implementing successfully activities above the frame of given legislative requirements which are beneficial not only to them but also to their employees, business partners and a wide public. And Třinecké železárny just won this appreciation among companies with more than 250 employees within the whole Czech Republic. „This appreciation is a proof that our company is heading for the right direction. It shows a positive relationship of employees, partners and inhabitants in the region to our company. And it is also recognition that our firm motto – „Together for the next generations“ is not a mere phrase. We esteem very much the fact that our company became the historically first prize winner of this social appreciation within our whole republic. At the same time it is a challenge to us for the future,“ says Ing. Jiří Cienciala, general director of Třinecké železárny company.
