26. 12. 2011UniControls CO. together with the Japonese partner Toyo Denki make their trade successes stronger in the project of supplies for metro in Chinese city Chengdu. Five years ago, the company UniControls CO. together with the Japanese company Toyo Denki Seizo K.K. won the tender for the supply of higher control (TCMS) and power parts to trainsets for metro in Chinese city Chengdu. Last year, the line No. 1 with 17 stations was completed. Its provisional length is 18,5 km while the total length is to be 31,6 km. The line was officially opened on 27 September 2010.
17 six-car trainsets are operated here through higher control system TCMS (Train Control and Management System) produced by Construction of vehicle itself was done by the firm CSR (Sifang) and supplies for this route No. 1 were realized in the years 2008 – 2009. After the signature of the contract for 24 sets of higher control (TCMS) and power part for the new Chengdu Line 2 (Longquan East - Shiniu) in November 2010, the firm Toyo Denki together with UniControls signed the other contract for the second phase of metro Chengdu - Line 2 (Eastern and Western extension) in the volume of 20 six-car trainsets. Supplies of TCMS sets and traction equipment for this phase will start at the end of the year 2011 and at the beginning of the year 2012. Already now these supplies for metro in Chengdu contain 61 trainsets. The interesting thing of this project is a very close mutual cooperation between Toyo Denki Seizo K.K and UniControls CO. This cooperation consists in the fact that a complete applicable software (ASW) for TCMS was performed by the firm Toyo Denki Seizo K.K. with help and full technical support of the firm UniControls CO. which at the beginning of the project had trained specialists from Toyo Denki in a very detailed way and had provided them a complete software environment necessary for ASW programming.
