Informatics is a challenge for the ČD Group

A large part of the service range is focused on provision of services to companies from the Czech Railways Group. Their purpose is to fulfil the Group’s objective in the field of ICT, increase in quality and effectiveness.

The core services offered by ČDT - Informační Systémy include, without any doubts, the ICT support of key business processes of our customers. This support includes determination of a safe environment for operation and administration of all vital applications of customers, with a high availability. An important part is formed, thanks to the implemented tools for administration, configuration and surveillance, of a continuous monitoring of quality of the service provided, together with a regular reporting for subsequent requirements of the client. A matter-of-course is also administration of the customer’s end devices, in terms of HW functionalities and regular upgrades as well as at an application level, including e.g. print services. A standard part of the customer support is also certification of newly installed application SW versions, expert support of operation of applications, specialised as well as general helpdesk services.

From the viewpoint of the range of services offered by ČDT - Informační Systémy, an important place belongs also to development and implementation of comprehensive customer solutions, especially in the areas of support of economic and operational processes for railway operators and transport companies or railway infrastructure managers. An important trend in this area is the demand especially for solutions with a high added value with a possibility of utilisation of the information for the monitoring of performance of key processes and subsequent managerial decisions through the tools of reporting and business intelligence. An appraised added value of the solutions provided is the high rate of integration with the existing application range of the customer.

ČDT - Informační Systémy plays an important role in the environment of the information system of the Czech Railways Group, already on a traditional basis, in the role of the integrator of the SAP ERP system. In this field it ensures services covering the complete lifecycle of the implemented modules, i.e. the actual implementation, maintenance and operation, including the customer help desk. The professional excellence and quality of services are guaranteed through regular certification at the level of the SAP Competence Centre. The long years of experience are connected with projects in the fields of asset administration, finance management, material economy, payrolls and human resources, maintenance and repairs. In the projects covering a wide range of business processes, ČDT - Informační Systémy cooperates with its partners and is capable of integrating third-party solutions.
