Then some activities concerning rolling stock were transferred to the company SKD TRADE, being in that time Co.Ltd. In 2004, SKD TRADE Ltd. was transformed into joint stock company (CO.) with a basic capital of 20 mil CZK. After having bought a licence from SIEMENS- -successor of ČKD Transport Systems, CO.- to produce tram and locomotive spare parts in 2002, SKD TRADE, CO. became one of four suppliers of original spare parts for rail vehicles from the ČKD whole production program. In 2008, the firm has signed the contract on transfer of know- -how and finally has bought the whole production and technological documentation to become its exclusive owner. For years, it has had certification by TÜV NORD for management system according to ISO 9001:2000. Numberous supplies of spare parts resulted into foundation of the first consignment store at Brno city Transport Authority in 1999. Since that time consignment stores have existed within transport authorities in Praha, Olomouc, Plzeň and Czech Railways. With regard to customers ´requirements a licence contract with Škoda Transportation was concluded for production of certain types of spare parts for electric locomotives. The company supplies go almost to a hundred of customers in the world from the Philippines to New Orleans. Beside a proven production, the owner also has supported a technical development and consequently asynchronous and synchronous traction motors have been developed and produced here for use in transport means. On 30 April 2011, SKD TRADE, CO. bought a part of the firm STRATOS AUTO Co. Ltd. – division of bus production and newly the company is preparing a version of STRATOS electrobus.
