Pars to supply the fourth series of Regionova units
24. 10. 2011Following the open tender for supplies of modernized Regionova units, Czech railways and Pars nova have signed a contract for the forth series.
According to the contract, Pars is to supply eleven two car trains by the end of 2012 in total volume of 280 mil. CZK. The units are intended for operation on regional tracks of various regions of the Czech Republic and are co-financed from operation programs of the EU. Pars nova produces Regionova trains from year 2005. These modern units are made by reconstruction of motor cars of class 810 and trailer cars of class 010. The features of Regionova include attractive interior, comfortable seats, and the low floor section enabling travel for passengers on wheelchair or mothers with prams. Units are also equipped with audiovisual information system. The total number of units produced in Pars nova under all contracts should be 210 two car and 26 three car. Currently, Pars nova is commissioning into operation units from third, improved series of these trains. Based on experience from operation, the vehicles received some partial changes resulting in a more comfortable travel. The contract for the third series of 62 units was signed in November 2010. By the end of this year, Pars shall supply 37 units.
