Moravian springs prevail in South Korea

The company Hanacke železárny a pérovny a member of the Moravia Steel Group won a prestigious contract for the Asian market.

They sell in two years the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem highly sophisticated screw springs for trains South Korean railways. This deal in worth CZK tens of millions ranks the company from a Czech city Prostějov among the most prestigious contracts in the segment of production locomotives. „We are currently negotiating a further contract for the Korean company. That will again supplies for the locomotives, but this time for the end customer in Turkey, „said director Peter Vanek. The company sells the springs to Asia through of their European partners for over ten years. At present, it destined for export almost all production of springs, while we are still doing more business outside Europe. Prostějov spring application should be found in suburban trains in Boston, as well as trains from Bombardier in Australia or in the Russian subway. „For the company‘s value in terms of prestige, importance, and reference is necessary to mention the supply of springs for high-speed trains TGV, which achieved a world speed record of 574 km per hour on our spring sprung chassis,“ said Vanek.
