18. 07. 2011TŘINECKÉ ŽELEZÁRNY HAS ACQUIRED THE HUNGARIAN COMPANY „D&D" DRÓTÁRU.
Třinecké železárny has acquired the Hungarian company „D&D" Drótáru Zrt. The steel company from Třinec thus owns 100 per cent shares of the Hungarian firm.
„Thanks to this foreign acquisition, Třinecké železárny has broadened its product protfolio in the scope of wire rod processing especially the high carbon steel grades," says Jiří Cienciala, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Třinecké železárny.
The key product portfolio of the „D&D" Drótáru Zrt. company, employing 150 people and sitting in Miskolc, is cold drawn wire, stabilized prestressing wires, stabilized prestressing strands used mainly in building and mining industry, as well as steel fibres for use in the concrete floors and they have been producing concrete railway sleepers.
The newly elected members of the Board of Directors of the „D&D" Drótáru Zrt. company are Albert Köszeghy (Chairman), László Jex, Jozef Blaško (not the Member of the Třinecké železárny Supervisory Board), and Karel Kawulok.
