New devices of pneumatic brake of freight cars from the company DAKO - CZ, a.s. Tremosnice

DAKO-CZ,a.s. started production of a disc brakes designed for freight cars presently. Disc brakes contain disc brake units in a simple design or with a hand brake, brake discs of width 170 mm with raised thickness of wear and special brake pads.

Advantages of the design of a freight car with the disc brake compared with a block brake are: significantly reduced operating costs, increased operating life, no wear of wheel tread with braking, no risk of heat damage of a wheel set and a noise reduction in operation.

The disc brake got through demanding tests both in test rooms and in operation. New technical solutions and design technology significantly reduced a cost price.

A purchase price of the disc brake together with above mentioned advantages allows competitiveness with so far used block brakes.

The company DAKO-CZ,a.s.also prepared a new limiting valve DAKO DLV3HL for serial production.

The new limiting valve DAKO DLV3HL varies from competitive limiting valves with a way of control. It is controlled by a pressure from the train brake pipe. Therefore the limiting valve passes to full, unlimited with a kinked characteristic, braking at higher or full operational brakings and quick brakings. Thus a braking distance is shortened and therefore it is safer. Its design is also simpler. The limiting valve DAKO DLV3HL matches the requirements of UIC 541-04, EN 15 611 and TSI standards.
