The Acasys modular Iinformation system for rolling stock

AMiT, an R&D and production company focused on industrial electronics, has created a unique information system for rolling stock using state-of-the-art technology. The aim of the solution was to create a flexible system to meet a customer's specific requirements in a relatively short time. The ACASYS information system is made up of three parts – a CCTV camera system, an audio system and a visual part.

The CCTV system uses IP cameras, original IP monitors and a recording unit to provide continuous recording. Moreover the ACASYS
Studio visualisation tool allows this video footage to be accessed and viewed in the rolling stock databases.

The audio part of the information system has a modular design. Therefore it can be adapted to the customer's individual requirements
just by adding specific parts and by completing the overall programming for the specific application. The audio system is made up of a switch-board, intercoms, micro-telephones and external and internal speakers.

The visual part solves the following requests - WTB connection to train communications, GPS positioning, GPRS and WiFi transfer of
diagnostic data, on-board reservation system, staff information panel, inside and outside information panels for passengers and diagnostics of other on-board equipment. The new information system is compliant with international standards UIC 176 and UIC 556, Czech Railways requirements for passenger information systems and the technical specifications of interoperability relating to 'persons with reduced mobility' in the trans-European conventional and high-speed rail systems.
