VÚKV a. s. is involved in development and testing of railway vehicles, containers and other components of transport engineering. The company also offers advisory and consultancy service in these areas.

In the development area VÚKV a. s. offers complex solutions of development projects of railway vehicles or their components from opening study via design, construction, drawing documentation and cooperation in manufacture of prototypes to approval and commissioning. Many research projects are solved parallel with the development ones – whether in support of Department of Trade and Industry of Czech Republic or in terms of Research Centre of Railway Vehicles at the University of West Bohemia or in cooperation with Transport Faculty of Jan Perner University of Pardubice or as a part of international research projects added into the framework programs of European Commission.

In testing area VÚKV a. s. is accredited and equipped for implementation of wide range of railway rolling stock, component and container tests.
