Some news from DPOV, a.s.

In course of this year the company DPOV,a.s. is undergoing substantial changes concerning development in the field of quality and service improvements. The first stepwas enlarging of the implementation of thequality system certification according to thestandard ČSN ISO 9001:2008 to all placesof work of the DPOV, a.s. All processes needed for certification were certified according to the subject of certification: „Repairs, inspectionsand renovations of railway stockand its parts.“

Now the system of environmental management according to ČSN EN ISO 14001 and he system OHAS 18001, which concerns health safety at work, have been implemented.Thanks to these two certifications together with the certificate of ISO 9001 onegoal of the company will be fullfilled – tocreate an effective and integrated management system (quality, environment, healthsafety at work).

Next, an activity of importance is the enlarge mentand updating of the wheelsetworkshop in Nymburk. This workshop has been equipped with a hydraulic press andwith a wheelset lathe. In Nymburk a circlehall is being overhauled where, amongothers, boogies of the units of 680 Pendolinoare being repaired at a specialised placeof work. This train units are flagship of theCzech Railways ČD, a.s. which is the biggest railway passenger transport provider in the Czech Republic.

In Přerov a new hall is about to be erected for general repairs of the double-decked electric stock units 471 City Elefant.General repairs on railway stock units 814 Regionova are to be mentioned as well. Theseunits are operated mainly in the regional traffic in the Czech Republic.
