TEM TMH locomotive project

One of the new projects of CZ LOKO is asix-axle diesel electric locomotive of TEMTMH type. The modern railway vehicle with maximum speed 100 km/hour is determined for heavy-duty shunting and railway service on railways with the track gauge of 1,520 mm. The project is co-realisedby CZ LOKO , the Lithuanian company UAB Vilniaus lokomotyvu remonto depas(VLRD) and the Russian company Brjanskijmašinostrojitělnyj zavod (BM Z). The project is catered for by TRANSMA ŠHO LDING BA LTIKA . TEM TMH locomotive isa vehicle with excellent technical parameters, which meets the most demandingoperation and economic requirements.

During construction and production the manufacturer used time-tested parts ofthe Russian locomotive TEM 18 (mainframe, undercarriage and fuel tank) andthe module construction kit CZ LOKO that enables a great variability of finishing accordingto highly specific requirements of the future operators. The locomotiveis fitted with a motor generator Locat3508B/631 (internal-combustion engineCaterpillar and traction alternator Siemens). All components and parts meetthe most demanding environmental, safety-at-work and health requirements ofthe operating staff. Production of components is accomplished in parent factoriesand the final assembly is realised inVLRD Vilnius (Lithuania).

The first locomotive TEM TMH -  001 with the system UK TOL has been currently going through the approval process under Russian standards. The remaining four locomotives with serial numbers TEMTMH - 002 to TEM TMH - 005 have been intesting operation on Lithuanian railways (LIE TUVOS GELEŽINKE LIAI ).
