The 8th International Railway Summit

The 8th International Railway Summit, a meeting of the world’s key rail sector buyers and suppliers, will be held from 20-22 November 2019, New Delhi, India . 150 delegates from 30 countries will attend.

International Railway Summit is an exclusive networking platform for leaders representing the world’s key rail operators, governments, rail infrastructure owners, national and local authorities, and a wide variety of expert solution providers. The summit, which is proudly supported by the International Union of Railways (UIC), combines business meetings, a full conference programme, and formal and informal functions.

The backbone of this unique event is a bespoke pre-arranged one-to-one meeting programme matching buyers, sourcing solutions for their project requirements, and a wide variety of expert solution providers. Participating companies take part in guaranteed 30-minute meetings with the companies they want to meet, with exactly the decision-makers who can build strong partnerships.

Major buyer companies taking part in meetings include Deutsche Bahn, Bombardier Transportation, Indian Railways, Philippine National Railways, Rail Baltica, Trenitalia, DB Cargo, Malayan Railways, Swiss Federal Railways, and the Land Transport Authority Singapore.

Representatives of influential Czech companies will attend, including LEO Express’ CEO Peter Köhler, Metrans Rail,’s Sales and Operations Director Igor Jerabek, and director-level figures from GHH Bonatrans and IGW Power.

The summit conference programme will focus on how to build efficient digital railway systems. Thought leaders such as Elisabeth Werner, Director Land Transport, European Commission (EC), Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, Director General, UIC, and Rolf Hardi, Chief Technology Officer, Deutsche Bahn, will debate pressing issues such as cross-border travel, smart cities, 5G communications, virtual reality, big data, and how digital transformation impacts on third-party funding.

Throughout the three days of the summit, delegates, who will stay in the venue hotel, will have the opportunity to forge friendships as well as new partnerships, learning about and from each other over coffee, lunches, dinners, and technical visits.
