The very latest Czech traffic technology on show in Amsterdam.

One feature of the AŽD Praha stand at this year's international Intertraffic fair is the presentation of the company's own modern technology for "intelligent" road traffic control.

Visitors to the Czech company's stand in the Dutch capital can look forward to monitoring and control centre for city traffic that allows for supervision of the status of all telematic technologies installed in the area under surveillance. These might be used in tunnels, camera, parking or information systems or by the integrated emergency services. New types of controllers for controlling small and complicated crossings are also set to go on show.

"We regularly attend international fairs. We are understandably interested in the latest trends in the field and in the innovations that are usually here to see. Apart from that these sorts of gatherings offer us the opportunity to build new business contacts and present our own technology," says Ing. Zdeněk Chrdle, General Manager of AŽD Praha.

The MR-11 and MR-22 controllers that the company is presenting at this year's fair hold a new class SIL 3 safety certificate and are therefore able to make sure of higher levels of traffic safety when part of the system fails. This maintains the continuity of the programme (operation) in line with European standards with requirements that are higher than those of common Czech standards. A control unit is a standard component of the controllers. Both controllers have been optimised to monitor the LED signal devices that are being used more and more these days, even without additional modifications using resistors. The controllers can be extended to include other modules and in this way connect a higher quantity of input and output. Whereas the MR-11 light signalling traffic controller is intended for controlling medium-sized and large crossings, the MR-22 is ideal for use at pedestrian crossings.

The Intertraffic 2010 international traffic fair will take place in Amsterdam between the 23rd and 26th of March 2010. You can find the AŽD Praha stand in Hall 4 (Safety section), stand number 212.
