Pars nova completed maintenance and handed over the 500th jubilee passenger carriage
Pars nova, a subsidiary of Škoda Transportation, handed over the 500th jubilee passenger carriage with the completed periodical corrective maintenance on 30th June 2016.
The first corrective maintenance of passenger carriages was transferred to Pars nova in January 2013, after the delivery of maintenance and repair services had been stopped at Movo spol. s r.o. Pars team has gained extensive experience in periodical maintenance of electric units and locomotives as well as in maintenance of motor coaches.
First vehicles were delivered to the rolling stock maintenance shop owned by the former Czechoslovak Railways as early as in 1968. Even a corrective maintenance of passenger carriages was not a completely new type of service for the team as they had performed similar maintenance tasks in the past. Recently, similar type of maintenance work was carried out mainly as part of rebuilding the passenger carriages to control trailers. A new key challenge the team had to face was a faster rate for the delivery of carriages and for the completion of corrective maintenance within 25 calendar days.
