Czech DAKO-CZ at the InnoTrans trade fair

The Czech manufacturer of brakes for rail vehicles with a long tradition, its own development and advanced testing laboratory, DAKO-CZ, presents itself this year at the international InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin. DAKO-CZ is a supplier of brake systems and components for freight and passenger cars, commuter units, locomotives, underground trains and trams. The company supplies brakes all over the world. Rolling stock with DAKO brakes can not only be seen in Europe but also in Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia or China.

One of the new features of DAKO-CZ is its cooperation with STADLER on the prototype of a new generation of trams type 853, for which it supplied the hydraulic brake system. The tram prototype is manufactured in STADLER Minsk in Belarus. The tram was on display in the centre of Minsk on the occasion of the World Ice Hockey Championships.

Another important area of development and production are brake systems for underground trains. DAKO-CZ has a number of brake system projects behind it mainly in cooperation with Siemens. After successful projects for the underground in Oslo, Warsaw and Munich, currently, the company realizes deliveries of brake systems for 58 four-car units for the underground in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At present, DAKO-CZ is working on the final design of brake systems for the underground in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This major contract for the production of 45 four-car units and 29 two-car units will be launched in 2015.

At the InnoTrans trade fair, DAKO-CZ will present, among other things, the brake module supplied for underground trains in Kuala Lumpur, armature for tank cars, as well as the innovative electromechanical brake for trams.
